Hope Seed Foundation

Welcome to Hope Seed Foundation (“Hope Seed Foundation”, “we”, “our”, “us”). Hope Seed Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to profiling individuals with special needs across Africa and facilitating fundraising for their clinical and psychological care through recognized and registered care institutions.

By accessing or using our website (www.hopeseedfoundation.com), registering on our platform, submitting information, or participating in our fundraising programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Eligibility and Purpose
Hope Seed Foundation provides a digital platform for:
  • Individuals with special needs and/or their families or guardians to create profiles.
  • Supporters and donors to contribute toward care services.
  • Recognized institutions to receive funds for approved care services.

All information and participation must be truthful, accurate, and lawful.

2. Registration and User Accounts
To access certain services, you may be required to register and create an account. During registration, you may be asked to provide:
  • Personal identifiable information (PII)
  • Medical or psychological records
  • Photographs
  • Contact details

You agree that:

  • All information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • You are authorized to submit information on behalf of the individual being profiled.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
3. Voluntary Submission of Information
Providing information to Hope Seed Foundation is entirely voluntary. You have the right:
  • Not to register on the platform.
  • Not to upload photos.
  • Not to upload medical or psychological records.
  • Not to participate in the fundraising program.

However, limited information may affect our ability to assess needs or connect individuals with care services.

4. Use of Submitted Information
By submitting information, you grant Hope Seed Foundation permission to:
  • Store and process the data securely.
  • Use the information for profiling, assessment, and fundraising purposes.
  • Share necessary information with recognized care institutions and relevant partners strictly for care and support services.

Hope Seed Foundation will not sell personal data to third parties.

5. Crowdsourcing Fundraising Program (Optional)
During registration, users may opt-in to participate in Hope Seed Foundation’s crowdsourcing fundraising program. By opting in, you agree that:
  • Hope Seed Foundation may create fundraising campaigns on your behalf.
  • Funds raised will be used solely for clinical, psychological, and related care services.
  • Participation is optional and may be withdrawn by written request.
6. Disbursement of Funds
All funds raised on behalf of participants:
  • Will NOT be paid directly to individuals or families.
  • Will be paid directly to a recognized and registered care institution selected by Hope Seed Foundation or agreed upon with the participant/family.
  • Will be used exclusively for treatment, therapy, medication, accommodation, rehabilitation, or other approved care services.

Hope Seed Foundation does not guarantee specific treatment outcomes.

7. Service Fee
Hope Seed Foundation charges a 1% administrative fee on every donation or fund raised through the platform. This fee supports:
  • Platform maintenance
  • Verification processes
  • Administrative and operational costs

The remaining 99% is allocated to the participant’s care services.

8. Privacy and Data Protection
Hope Seed Foundation is committed to protecting user privacy and personal data. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Users acknowledge that:

  • Online data transmission is never 100% secure.
  • Hope Seed Foundation cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. User Responsibilities
Users agree not to:
  • Submit false or misleading information.
  • Impersonate another person.
  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes.
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.

Hope Seed Foundation reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Verification and Review
Hope Seed Foundation may:
  • Verify submitted information and documents.
  • Request additional documentation.
  • Reject or remove profiles that fail verification or breach policies.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, logos, text, graphics, and software are the property of Hope Seed Foundation or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Hope Seed Foundation is not liable for:
  • Medical outcomes or quality of services provided by third-party institutions.
  • Delays or interruptions in service.
  • Losses resulting from inaccurate information provided by users.

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

13. Modifications to Terms
Hope Seed Foundation may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
14. Termination
Hope Seed Foundation reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform at its discretion, with or without notice.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, unless otherwise required by applicable international law.
